i'm in the little coastal town of Kalk Bay in Cape Town...gulping in lungfuls of sea air ( I know i know. if you read any of my other posts i'm always gulping in lungfuls of sea air) and drinking in the atmosphere of this artistic and quirky little village. i love coming here...its crammed full of visual splendour and if you know me at all ....that's what makes my wee heart trip over and cartwheel with delight. maybe yours will too.

i'm at the entrance to the famous Cape to Cuba restaurant. this place is amazing. its like you have just stepped into Cuba

i mean gah! look at those colours.

a little chair for me to rest. then off to explore the village

little alleyways all around which lead to fascinating vintage finds.

the very popular Trading Post. found some amazing old photos. must show you.

Mandela bunting strung between the trees.

fave place. love.

I mean i am a green person. that means here that I love plants. of all kinds and all descriptions. it might become obvious to you in a while but that's me. green green greener.

how adorable is this place. it's taken a bit of a knock because of the severe drought. but its starting to stand tall again. heck that description sounds a bit like me. now thats a story for another day.

old keys hangin' in the tree. how lovely is that!

Kalk Bay is home to many art shops. these paintings are done on the cement columns outside at the entrance to the shop. i mean I can hardly paint on very good paper let alone cement. totally charming. i mean come on.

i found this lovely old phone at The Trading Post. Now i'm giving my age away but I used to speak on one of these in my young days. i wont say 'the good ol' days' I promise.

while having breakfast i met this little chap. hope you reading this post sis. isn't he just too adorable!!! Byee. next time i might make it to the actual harbour which is really the star attraction of Kalk Bay. but please understand this. i don't play by the rules and I get lost in all the alleyways and visual poetry and i have to talk to all the plants. take a whole bunch of photos too. it takes a strong person to adventure with me. next time then.
