breathing in lungfuls of crisp, autumn sea air...its simply glorious in Hout Bay today. my daughter and I enjoying our saturday morning and starting at the Hout Bay market. I'm particularly fond of the Hout Bay Market. but enough of that. we are both ravenous and before we get 'HANGRY' we need to find some food and fast. the food stalls are beckoning us with their tempting array of decadent and delicious food experiences. exotic smells wafting through the air. intoxicating me. help. what to choose.

we settle on a food stall. ITS BAGELS BABY. all thoughts of a carb-free breakfast fly out of the door and over the calm blue sea. and this my dears is what arrives. aaah.

steak and onions on a bed of rocket and a fried egg drizzled with a spicy dressing. oh bliss! well i would have preferred a beautiful china plate and silver knives and forks. wouldn't you. yes yes. wouldn't you. but we were delighted.

our little eating spot

too lovely

The stalls are all amazing....each with its own unique style

...as you can see. this stall sold the most lovely hand painted takkies. on my wish list.

on the way to the loo. a long passage and Nelson Mandela too.

lovin' the old red and white checked vinyl flooring. this is sooooo beautiful to me.

before the crowds arrive. bliss.

outside the flag is flying and the ocean calling.

Hout Bay is waking up to clear blue skies and sparkling turquoise water. we take a turn to the harbour

Oom Piet is posing for the tourists in regal style

whaat...these tourists are getting way to close in order to have their photo taken. heck. I can't watch. this is a wild animal with v.v. beeg teeth.

this is what makes Hout Bay SO charming. don't you think? the yachts. the harbour, the old fishing boats. the old fishermen coming off the boats with fresh fish to sell. the seagulls yelling. the seals.... and fresh fish and chips. yes i think so. i do i do dah doo.

on the way home we buy fresh flowers and here they are. its the simple things in life. byeee.
